Dick has over 40 years experience and knowledge in locating and successfully catching the huge King Chinook and Coho Salmon that our area is famous for. Dick Redsicker has been a licensed River Guide # 229 for over 40 years and has also been a Coast Guard Captain for over 13 years. Depending on the season, Dick and his clients typically haul in their limits of monster Salmon, giant Lake Trout, trophy sized Walleye, Steelhead, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and tackle breaking Black Bass - the kind you only see in magazines. How much fun can a person possibly have? All of the indicators read that the Fall of 2012 is going to be a banner season with many record breaking catches, both in the Salmon River and in the Eastern Crescent of Lake Ontario. |

When you book a Salmon River or Lake Ontario Fishing Charter with us, we take care of everything. We will provide all of the rods and tackle, make arrangements for your lodging (when applicable) and connect you with our taxidermist, if desired. You'll enjoy fishing for some of the finest fish in the World including Steelhead, Browns, Walleyes, Bass, Coho and King Salmon. Our Steelhead and Browns average 8 - 10 lbs, with trophies weighing up to 18 lbs taken regularly. Walleyes average 7 - 13 lbs. Salmon are the heavyweights and average 25 lbs. with 30 - 40 lb. wall hangers often taken.
For your best bet on catching these fish, we fish several rivers and streams depending on the water and fishing conditions. Our years of river experience will get you well on your way to some of the trophies you have always dreamed of.
What sets us apart from most of the local fishing guides is that we are very 'portable'. Rather than launching from the same port for each excursion, we keep our boats on trailers and launch at the ports along the Golden Crescent of Lake Ontario where the fish are currently holding.
We typically launch at Port Ontario, Sackets Harbor, Henderson Harbor and Mexico Point all in the same week. Often times when the fish are prestent in the area, we will put in at Chaumont, Three Mile Bay, Mud Creek or Cape Vincent.
In the late Summer and Fall when the huge Salmon are staging for the big annual run up the rivers, we generally launch at Oswego, Sandy Pond, out of Sodus Bay, Fair Haven, Selkirk Shores, or Southwick Beach.
During Bass and Walleye seasons, we often fish Northern Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River and launch at Cape Vincent, Clayton, Alex Bay and other points north up the river.
